CERTIFICATE – SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER

(Duration : 22 Days)

-At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:
i. Conduct the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control
ii. Understand the OSHMS
iii. Plan and Implement OSHMS
iv. Interpret OSH Legal Requirements
v. Being a competent SHO (upon passing the SHO Examinations + 3 years’ experience + DOSH approval)

– ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
SPM BEFORE 2000
a ) Possess at least SPM, MCE, SPMVM or Equivalent certificate (minumum 3rd grade) ; or
SPM AFTER 2000
b) Possess at least SPM (Open Certificate) with the following conditions:
i. Sit for at least 6 subjects
ii. Obtain at least grade 6C in BM, English and Mathematic ; and
iii. Pass at least 1 subject with at least grade 8E for subjects Science /Physics
/ Chemistry / Biology ; and
iv. Pass other subjects such that the total number of subjects is at least 6
OR
c) Obtain exemption from the above requirements (a and b) from DOSH
